Save thousands on your mortgage by Peter Roderick
One way of saving thousands of dollars on your mortgage is by switching your payments from monthly to weekly or fortnightly.
Weekly or fortnightly mortgage payments have been growing in favour with home owners across Australia and many institutions now offer these payment options. The fascination with more frequent payment options is that if they are done correctly you can take several years off your mortgage amortization and thus own your home free and clear years ahead of paying on a monthly basis.
Home to the Commonwealth - the Games comes to Melbourne by MedhaRuby
Australia celebrates the arrival of the Commonwealth Games. As a sporting nation, it's hard for the locals not to be excited about the chance to see the non-stop action generated by some of the world's top athletes.
The more controversial aspect of the Games is whether the monarchy of England still has any relevance to the people of Australia. The nomenclature of the Games has changed many times, from British Empire Games to British Empire and Commonwealth Games, from British Commonwealth Games to just Commonwealth Games. Cynics ask if this special status is a colonial relic, an imperial anachronism. It could certainly be claimed the Queen means very little to the average person in the streets of capital cities and country towns in Australia.

FHM MAGAZINE
FHM, an abbreviation for: For Him Magazine is a quite successful monthly men's magazine (also known as a lads' mag) that was first published as FHM in 1994 in the United Kingdom, but it has actually been around since 1985 under the name for him. FHM which was founded by Chris Astridge was first distributed through high street men's fashion outlets and expanded to newsagents as a quarterly publication by the spring of 1987. For him had most recently hardened up its editorial approach to compete with the expanding fashion market and has also introduced a sports supplement along with its normal edition. The magazine then had its name changed to FHM. As of 2005, it publishes twenty-seven different editions per month in countries such as the U.S., Russia, Denmark Australia, New Zealand, France, South Africa, Spain and many more.
